In Just one week, The City of Bel Aire and many partnering organizations and businesses are bringing a very special event to the entire community of Bel Aire. Come join us for the Fall Festival on October 4th starting at 10 AM at the Bel Aire Rec Center to help celebrate the Rec Center's 20th Anniversary! This is a very special day for the Rec Center and many organizations and volunteer groups have kept the Rec Center going strong! (Many drawings will be held for this event, and lots of FREE entertainment for the whole family!)

We will also hold the 2nd Annual Talent Show at NE Magnet High School starting at 7 PM and there are still openings to win cash prizes and a FREE limo ride to the winner of the Talent Show! Many drawing prizes will also be given out to attendees! Concessions will be sold by NE Magnet. Guest performance by last year's winner of the Talent Show, Carson!

The city is implementing a program that lets ONLY Bel Aire residents utilize the brush-drop off site monthly April through October.

Details are below.

Accepted Materials: Tree Limbs and Shrubbery

Date: 2nd Saturday Monthly, April through October from 9:00am to 1:00pm

Unaccepted Materials: Leaves and Grass Clippings or Construction Waste

Important: Please provide Bel Aire utility bill or driver's license for proof of residency.

45th street from Webb to Greenwich is closed through the end of the year and completion on this project is dependent on the weather, acocording to Sedgwick County. We again appreciate your understanding and patience as this project is currently underway.

 The City of Bel Aire and Wichita Transit are seeking your input!   Bel Aire is working with Wichita Transit to conduct an outreach study to the suburbs of Wichita, getting base-line transit demand information. This information will help Wichita Transit in the future when they look to incorporate regional service of some kind.

A new study from NerdWallet, a consumer advocacy site, lists Bel Aire as the 4th Best place for Homeownership in Kansas!  The data included  affordability, population growth and homeownership rates.

Bel Aire was ranked as the #1 suburb in Sedgwick County and #7 in the state of Kansas!

Suburbs were ranked based on access to amenities, proximity to good schools, average commute times and community safety. According to the survey, suburbanites are more likely to eat in, commute to work, own their homes, and dedicate weekends to home improvement and do-it-yourself d├ęcor projects.
