Interested in being a candidate in the April 7th 2015 Bel Aire General Election?


The City of Bel Aire will have the Mayor and two (2) City Council Seats open for election.   Candidate forms are available on the Sedgwick County website or at the Bel Aire City Clerk's office and must be filed with the Bel Aire City Clerk by NOON on January 27th.

As sever weather approaches, the City of Bel Aire would like to mention an upcoming Severe Weather Safety Meeting well in advance to be held on April 2nd here at City Hall at 6:30 PM.

Bel Aire city leaders are proud to announce the City of Bel Aire was ranked as the #3 safest town in Kansas by SafeWise. For more infomation on this SafeWise study please click this link below.

This ranking comes just after being ranked the #1 safest small town by Movoto Real Estate

The study looked at populations between 5,000 and 20,000 and ranked them based on data from the 2012 FBI Uniform Crime Report. Study was reported from Movoto, real estate brokerage site.

City of Bel Aire has launched a new Bel Aire App!

Bel Aire city leaders are excited to announce the creation of a Bel Aire City App that can be downloaded to all smart phones.

In an effort to be more easily accessible to our citizens, Bel Aire has worked with My Community Mobile to create a City App that can be downloaded to any smart phone. 

More and more people utilize their smart phones for directions, social media, news, contacts, etc. 

For this reason, the Bel Aire City Council felt it was important to stay in touch with our citizens through their smart phones. 

The app has many functions such as below:

Location of City Parks and Recreation

School Locations and Contact Info

Report an Issue

Utility Information and Contact Info

According to the new rankings by Coldwell Banker Real Estate, LLC

Bel Aire was ranked as the #1 suburb in Sedgwick County and #7 in the state of Kansas!

Suburbs were ranked based on access to amenities, proximity to good schools, average commute times and community safety. According to the survey, suburbanites are more likely to eat in, commute to work, own their homes, and dedicate weekends to home improvement and do-it-yourself décor projects.
