Bel Aire Lions Club
A chapter of the International Lions Club began in the Bel Aire Area June 5, 2009. Meetings are held the second and fourth Wednesday of each month at the Bel Aire Community Room from 12pm to 1pm. Anyone interested in becoming a Lion is encouraged to attend or contact Lions Club Secretary Angie Cockburn at (316) 461-2784 or by e-mail at blueeyed_artist@yahoo.com. 
About the Lions Club
Formed in Chicago, Illinois in 1917, the Lions Club International focused on giving back to the community through the volunteer service. Though the Lions Club is known chiefly for their efforts to end preventable blindness, the Club has branched out to provide a wide variety of services ranging from rebuilding playgrounds to providing emergency aid to natural disaster victims. With over 1.4 million members in 205 countries worldwide, the Lions Club is truly and international effort.
